"What Would My Ancestors Eat?"

CEO & Founder of The Good Life Health company and author of Beyond the Bin and A Diet for 7 Generations, Michelle Yandle has helped countless women and men, achieve success on their health journey.  Featured in magazines such as Organic New Zealand and Fitness Journal NZ magazine, and Ambassador of Health and Wellness for a National food company, Michelle’s coveted expertise have led to numerous sold-out speaking engagements.

Michelle battled with the ups and downs of poor health, low self-esteem and a career that wasn’t her calling.  Until she asked herself one question;

What would my ancestors eat?

Then everything changed.

Michelle is a Health and Nutrition Coach, successful entrepreneur and two-time author with a focus on traditional diets, creating confidence for young women and instigating healing for problematic eating patterns.  In the past years she has worked with schools, businesses, and individuals within the health and wellness industry and through her private practice. She inspires people throughout New Zealand and the world by sharing with them her own health journey and giving them the simple steps they need so that they can move forward by looking back. She has even designed an app which helps people find healthy foods throughout New Zealand.

Michelle comes from a long-line of storytellers and authors. She grew up in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and has always had a passion for educating and inspiring through the spoken and written word.  Through the years, her connection to her Indigenous heritage has only strengthened her and healed her of her own health struggles through going back and listening to her ancestors.

Michelle received her bachelor of arts in philosophy at Dalhousie University, Halifax while later achieving a graduate degree in education at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.  She has then furthered her education through certificates in health and nutrition coaching.

A few years ago, Michelle decided to take a leap of faith and leave a full-time school teaching position to follow her dream and create her own business, one that has been met with huge success for both her and the large number of people who follow her online, through her practice and seminars.

She now strives to empower people, young and old, to see themselves as they truly are – beautiful strong people, who need to create their own standards of beauty based on their individual strengths and traits rather than what our media portrays as an (unachievable) standard of health and beauty.

Michelle now lives in Taranaki New Zealand with her husband. Together they enjoy river trips in their Canadian canoe, walking along the black sands of Taranaki beaches and exploring the majesty that is, Mt. Taranaki.
