“Climbing Your Own Mount Kilimanjaro”

Karri-Lynn Paul will show you that “Every mountain top is within reach, if you just keep climbing.” Her countless achievements, including representing Canada in Paris at UNESCO, to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro have proved her motto to be true. Today Karri-Lynn shares her inspiring journey with women and girls helping them reach their own summits.

Karri-Lynn Paul discovered early in life the value an education could have in her own success. Never missing a day of school from grade one to twelve, to tackling an interdisciplinary degree in Sociology, Criminology and Native Studies, defending her honour thesis, to then seeing her own book in the library, Karri-Lynn knew education was one mountain she wanted to climb.

Karri-Lynn also recognized the importance volunteerism, extra-curricular involvement and giving back would have on her life and on the world. From signing up for sports in high school to being elected Student Council President to being elected representative for the New Brunswick Native Women’s Association and rep for the All Chiefs’ Task Force on the Future of First Nation University of Canada, Karri-Lynn knew success for her meant being a part of something outside herself.

In her career choices, Karri-Lynn strives to make a difference.  She has succeeded in many career roles, including Post-Secondary Director of Chiniki, Stoney Nakoda First Nation, Acting Director of the Iniskim-Aboriginal Student Academic Support, and Town Councilor of Redwood Meadows, AB.  Karri-Lynn brings a wealth of knowledge to her audience with the diversity of her experience working for many organizations such as the Assembly of First Nations Justice Secretariat, Statistics Canada and Mount Royal University.

All of Karri-Lynn’s education, experience, and background, have led her to her true passion which is to help foster women of all ages to pursue and reach their own dreams.  As a proud successful business owner, professional coach and presenter, Karri-Lynn works with women abroad helping them see their strengths and successes, build lasting confidence, and climb their own 'Mount Kilimanjaro.'
